1. Guarantee Overview

  • Product: Total Care Plan – Home Security Guarantee
  • Duration: Five (5) years from the date of installation, non-transferable
  • Coverage: Home security guarantee up to £10,000 for installations of a full home of new windows and doors fitted with Kubu smart sensors.

2. Eligibility

  • Installation must be completed by registered installer.
  • A full home of windows and doors must be fitted.
  • The installation and specification of the installation must be in accordance with Secured By Design.
  • Guarantee certificate to be released by email upon verification that there has been a full home of windows and doors purchased with Kubu Smart Security, installed and the invoice paid in full.

3. Guarantee Benefits

  • Value: Up to £10,000 breakdown as follows;
  • Locksmith Services: Up to £2,000 towards approved locksmith services.
  • Door/window Replacement: Up to £3,500 for door/window replacement for damaged openings.
  • Insurance Excess Payment: Up to £2,500 to cover the insurance excess.
  • Additional Uninsured Loss: £2,000 for other uninsured losses.

4. Claim Process

  • Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the incident along with a police crime reference number.
  • Required documentation: Proof of purchase/installation, maintenance records, active home insurance policy, loss adjuster’s report, police report, photos of damaged property, receipts, and returned damaged items.
  • An approved technical representative will assess the claim within 28 days of receiving all required documents and items.
  • Only one claim per installation within 1 year.
  • Loss adjustors report required from insurer to identify why items are not covered by the insurance policy.

5. Obligations of the registrant

  • Kubu sensors must be activated within 48 hours of installation date.
  • The homeowner must register the guarantee within two (2) days of installation through the form on our home page.
  • The homeowner must maintain an active subscription to the Kubu Plus service.
  • Ensure the property is the primary residence and occupied. The property must be residential, occupied and fully furnished.
  • Must have in date home and contents insurance.
  • Ensure the doors are fully deadlocked by the thumb turn or with genuine ATK keys, the Kubu app will detect the deadlocked status therefore the home hub must be online, and the app must be in the armed mode.
  • Ensure the windows are fully secured, the Kubu app will detect the lock status therefore the home hub must be online, and the app must be in the armed mode.
  • Maintain the hardware, door and windows every six months from date of installation following the approved maintenance guide [link here] and submit maintenance records online. [link here]
  • The registrant must be the owner of the property and residing there as the permanent residence on the date of the installation.

6. Exclusions

  • Claims involving cash, financial losses, valuables, or indirect losses.
  • Properties outside the UK mainland and Ireland, or non-residential properties.
  • Claims where forced entry is achieved through manual intervention.
  • This guarantee is non transferable.
  • Payment of this guarantee is determined by us at our discretion and decisions on claim eligibility is final.

7. Modification of Terms

  • Amendment Rights: We reserve the right to amend the terms at any time without notice.
  • Withdrawal: We may withdraw the guarantee at our discretion due to material misrepresentation, fraud, or unforeseen circumstances.

8. Compliance with Standards

  • All installations and claims must comply with current PAS 24/SBD (Secured By Design) standards. Updates to these standards will necessitate revisions to this guarantee.
